For more than a quarter of a century Penelope Antonelli-Flegel has been at the heart of what has made Digital Imaging Solutions a successful partner for businesses and community services throughout the Inland Northwest and beyond.
Since joining the company in September of 1999 as a temporary managerial consultant who helped sharpen and solidify accounting practices, she has focused on making DIS highly responsive to the needs of its customers. She came on permanently in March of 2000 and was quickly promoted to the position of CFO in October of 2001. Following the untimely passing of original owner Mark Lenz in the fall of 2018, Penelope took on company management as CEO for two years before purchasing DIS in February of 2020.
Penelope helped navigate DIS through the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-21 as an essential service to other businesses in the community. She was able to keep every full-time employee on staff and constructed those challenges into the foundation of the company’s ongoing success.
Throughout her time as a leader at DIS, first as an executive and now as the owner, Penny’s business philosophy is shaped by her faith. She sees her customers as friends and is happy to answer phone calls herself when she has the opportunity or necessity in order to catch up on those long-time relationships. She treats her employees as family, never losing sight of the fact that each has a life of their own outside of work time, leading many to stay long-term at DIS.
